Check out these awesome illustrations of Kyoshi’s Team Avatar from The Shadow of Kyoshi!
If you didn’t know, there’s a YA novel series about everyone’s favorite continent-splitting earth Avatar in her formative years. The first book, The Rise of Kyoshi, came out last year, and now this week the follow-up hits shelves: The Shadow of Kyoshi! These books are seriously some of the best expanded universe content in Avatar canon, you should definitely check them out if you haven’t already.
The Shadow of Kyoshi is supposed to release in a few days on July 21st. However, the Barnes & Noble exclusive edition has accidentally been put out on shelves a week early in some locations, and I was luckily able to get my hands on a copy. This edition features some really great artwork along with commentary from the author.
You can see some of the illustrations above, featuring…
- Kyoshi, who is 18 years old in this book
- Rangi, who hails from the Fire Nation
- Yun, the earthbender who was originally declared to be the Avatar
They look super cool! I would definitely love to see them animated one day…

Anonymous asked:
hi! uh so I kind of want to read some historical romances but I have NO idea where to start, so could you recommend me some of your favorites?
anabelsbrother Answer:
Well hello friend you made my day with this,
and you also made my romance co-blogger bestie @cammiemorgan happy with this because to say that Eri and I love historical romance would be an understatement but
ANYWAY, here’s a list (in no particular order because I don’t rate my faves it’s too hard) (links in bold):
1. Sarah MacLean
2. Tessa Dare
3. Julia Quinn
4. Lisa Kleypas
4. Courtney Milan
READ HER ENTIRE WORK. GO FOR IT. NO QUESTIONS-
but if you want some place to start then Unraveled (Turner #3) is my ultimate favourite, I say this very calmly. and I can’t pick my fav among the Brothers Sinister series because they’re all my children I love them equally-
Eri also would like to mention Bitter Spirits by Jen Bennett which is set in the 20s San Francisco, and Wicked Intentions by Elizabeth Hoyt for the dirty smut lmao
we didn’t go overboard at all with this, did we, Eri
[ID: a tiktok by @/christiantheshowm, with a caption that reads “Millennials/Gen Z’s as Therapists:” and is a conversation between a therapist and his patient. The therapist is a black man with a beard, wearing a suit and round glasses. the patient is a black man lying down on a couch with one hand resting on his head. he is also wearing a white hoodie. the hoodie is up and the drawstrings are pulled tightly so that only his eyes, nose, and mouth are shown.]
Transcript:
Therapist: So how have things been?
Patient: Maybe I was just put on this earth just to die.
Therapist: Ok.
Patient: Like I’m not meant to find love or be happy.
Therapist: I got you.
Patient: Like I’m just supposed to die.
(the patient turns to the therapist who nods. the camera zooms in.)
Therapist (putting a pen up by his mouth): It do be like that sometimes.
Patient: It do be like that sometimes.
(the camera zooms in more)
Therapist: But not all the time.
That actually made me feel better.
Why did this like bring a tear to me eyes
